R.I.P. Doi Takeo
I don’t know why I find this so funny. It’s so random. XD I just can’t take Taro Aso seriously.
I was sitting here, and my mind kind of wandered back to my high school days. I imagined being on the field with a bunch of my classmates. Then I realized that one of the classmates I was imagining is currently married and pregnant. Now I just feel old and sad.
I never really thought about how many Japanese-Americans still living today were probably prisoners of internment camps during World War II. I just found out my mom’s coworker was at the camp in Manzanar, CA during that time. George Takei was at a camp in Arkansas and later the camp at Tule Lake, CA. Wikipedia has a long list of writers, painters, and other talented people that spent time in internment camps. How come no one makes any noise about the internments, as unfair as they were?
“Swimming in the Sea” by The Tickle Me Hell Nos
This is a band that was formed at the arts camp I went to two summers ago. They wrote a few songs and played them for the rest of us. They were awesome.
